UGL® 222 Spackling Paste is an all-purpose, ready-to-use, paintable surfacing compound used for patching interior and exterior cracked plaster, filling nail holes, and smoothing surface imperfections on unprimed wood. As mixing is not required, there’s no leftover product to discard when you’re finished. Simply open the package and get started, being sure to follow the directions. UGL® 222 Spackling Paste will save you time, is budget-friendly, builds up without sagging, and sands easily.

Preparation

Remove all loose dirt as well as any scaly or powdery material.* All metal, including nail heads, should be primed with a metal primer. Both UGL® 222 Spackling Paste and the surface temperature of the area to be patched must be above 50°F.

All exterior applications must be painted.

Application

Apply UGL® 222 Spackling Paste with a putty knife or a broad knife. Fill deep cracks in two steps, allowing the material to dry thoroughly between applications. To patch sand-finish plaster, add white sand to match the texture of the adjoining area. UGL® 222 Spackling Paste can be painted over immediately after drying with any type of decorative finish.
